Ash is one of the most common trees in the UK. The leaves are amongst the first to be shed in Autumn. The ash tree was thought to have medicinal and mystical properties with the wood being burnt to ward off evil spirits. It was referred to as the 'Tree of Life' in Norse mythology. Even today it is sometimes known as the 'Venus of the Woods'. Hand sawn ash leaves sit upon a square frame to create a raised three-dimensional effect and statement pendant. This foliage design creates a beautiful silhouette against the skin.
- Available in two designs.
- The pendant comes on a 20in sterling silver curb chain.
- The pendant has a high polished finish.
- The drop of the pendant is approximately 29mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the frame, with a width of 22mm.
This pendant is handmade by myself from sterling silver sheet and wire in my home studio. Each component is hand sawn and then soldered in place. Lastly, I solder the tube bail to the top of the pendant. Due to the nature of each individual item being handmade, no two pieces will be completely uniform.
If you prefer a different chain length for this pendant, please state this in the gift message box at checkout.
